John Guyette has been a professional photographer for over thirty years making photographs that have preserved family memories. Now a collection of John’s personal work is being offered for wall décor and collectors alike. A collection of landscape, seascape, floral, still life and limited edition illustrative photographic art is available for your visual enjoyment.
It all began when John Guyette purchased a portrait/wedding studio in 1973 in Canandaigua, NY. John discovered he didn't know a thing about anything related to photography, technically, artistically, and business related. It truly was a vertical learning curve for a decade or so. John went on to study with many of the great outstanding portrait, wedding and landscape photographers through his 27 year studio career. He then prepared seminar material and taught and lectured to other professionals, as well as teaching an adult education class at a local community college in the evenings. It was time to consider a change in direction. In 1999, John and his daughter opened a retail store, Guyette Gallery and Frame. John's plan was to focus on his personal images, but the success of the Gallery was greater than expected and required more attention than he was willing to invest. John sold the frame shop in 2003 as a career transition into semi-retirement and to pursue his dream of marketing his scenic photography.
John lost his battle with cancer on July 24, 2008. I am John's only daugther and would like to see my Dad's dream fulfilled by marketing his photography and making sure that his images live on forever!
